Seamless Functionality, Captivating Design: Embracing the Future of Sleep Technology

UI/UX Product Design

The Connected Bed app for the Ergomotion Quest Connect line brings together the latest in adjustable base technology. My primary focus was designing an experience that allowed customers to easily control their adjustable base through a digital remote, while also enabling them to create and manage smart home integrations. These automations let users set up personalized triggers—using their bed in combination with other smart home devices—to create seamless routines throughout the day for a fully connected, automated lifestyle.

Beyond control and automation, the app also helps users improve their sleep. I designed features that allow the app to detect snoring and, after a pre-set duration, gently raise the user’s head to clear their airway—helping to reduce snoring without waking them.

The design challenge was to make these three very different functions—base control, smart home automation, and sleep improvement—feel intuitive and accessible. I focused on building a clean, user-friendly interface, brought the brand to life through a vibrant color palette, thoughtful iconography, and type treatments, and ensured the overall experience aligned with upcoming product brand launches. My goal was to create a cohesive and friendly app that not only performed well but reinforced the brand at every touchpoint.
